After recent news of Nintendo of America’s refusal to show Xenoblade Chronicles during E3, even at the behest of Nintendo of Europe, fans hoping for the games localization decided to take action the only way that consumers can, with their money. Not long after an article was posted on Kotaku urging fans of the game to petition Nintendo for its release, the game shot to the number one spot in the video games section on Amazon. Surprisingly ranking above the newly released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
However, it remains to be seen if Nintendo will react to the games sudden burst in popularity. Amazon’s current listing of the game remains under its former title, Monado: Beginning of the World, which was shown at E3 2009. The fact that the game remains on Amazon under its original title is unusual, but does it mean that Nintendo plans to localize it, or is it just a mistake on Amazon’s part?
The game will be coming to Europe under the title Xenoblade: Chronicles this September.
